The walls you think protect you must come tumbling down
The face you hide behind hides you no more
And doing and talking and going cease standing guard over your heart
So, if you really want to be close...
Ask yourself,
‘Can I bear my own aloneness?'
for this intimacy is a coming together of alonenesses
If you can't bear your aloneness, and you want to be really close to others, sit with your aloneness
until loneliness releases its hold on you and solitude becomes your Friend
To join deeply with another, which means heart-with-heart, not only person with person, then become intimately attuned with your own heart, and this requires intent, time, quiet, and stillness - and the Heart that holds all hearts will draw near, though it has never been far away. And you will come to see, your heart and their heart are deeper than emotions and thoughts, flowing from and into one Heart-of-hearts.
In the other, we return home; in ourselves, we invite the other to return home
When home, we see, we never left... we simply forgot - bewitched by appearances - so got lost along the way
